How to Play Steppy

Earning Pets

When you first join Steppy, you'll be gifted a random pet just for joining!

Then, for the next 3 days you'll need to work on maintaining your "streak" - which means you hit your step goal consecutively. After you're gifted your first pet, your next 3-day streak will earn you another pet!

After that, you will earn a pet every 7 days that you get a streak.

In-Game Currency

Earning Coins

Regardless of whether you hit your streak, you will earn a coin for every 1,000 steps you take! So if you do 7,000 steps in a day, you will earn 7 coins.

Spending Coins

You can spend coins in Raccoon's Furniture shop for furniture and other home decor for your pets' homes! Each day, you'll have the choice of 6 different furniture or decor pieces.

Earning Buttons

Each day you'll be presented with a trivia question related to healthy living. You'll receive buttons for answering the trivia question correctly. The number of buttons you'll receive for answering a trivia question correctly will depend on the difficulty of the question. Some questions reward only a couple buttons while other reward 5 or 6!

Spending Buttons

You can spend your buttons in Flamingo's Studio! Flamingo is a designer who creates wallpaper and flooring for the other animals. Her available wallpaper and flooring designs will rotate out each day - you'll always have a choice of 6 different wallpaper designs and 6 different flooring designs.

Friends

Viewing Friends

Click on Friends in the bottom menu to see your friends on your Leaderboard! You'll be ordered by most and least steps for the day (and you can also switch to a weekly view). The friend with the most steps will receive a crown over their head.

Adding Friends

To add a friend, click on Friends in the bottom menu, and then click the +👤 icon in the upper right. Here you can search by username or email. After typing your search term, click the 🔍 to perform the search. When you find your friend, click Add to send them a friend request. They will need to accept your request in order to be added to your Leaderboard.

Accepting Friends

If a friend sends you a friend request, you'll need to accept it before you show up on each other's Leaderboards. Click on Friends in the bottom menu, then click the notification icon (🔔) in the upper right, and click the ️✅ to accept their request.

Sending a Gift

To send a gift, click on Collection in the bottom menu, and click the yellow Send a Gift button at the top. Select a recipient, then select up to 5 items from your inventory to gift, and click Continue. Next, add a note and click Send Gift! Your friend will get a notification about their gift, and they will find it in their collection inbox.
